After a few weeks off, we are now coming back to our Money Magnet Series!
So far this year, we have examined A to R and you can easily read the other articles starting with ABC here
As we have taken a journey down this alphabet, I have really focused on creating that magnetic appeal and becoming “that person” the one who attracts the opportunities, the people and as a result, the money. And – it seems that they effortlessly just attract money and opportunities, but as you have learned in this series, it isn’t effortless, it only seems that way.
There really isn’t any “10 step formula” or something similar – creating income is a decision and what you need to do in your business, depends 100% on your goals, the business you are in, your expertise, your dreams, your values, and your ultimate desired lifestyle.
However – that being said, underlying what you need to do – is who you need to BE. And that is what this series is all about.
Ready to dig back in?
Q = Questions
Those who are truly successful ask a lot of questions. Questions and curiosity are just part of how they operate. And this is twofold.
- When it comes to people: They take a genuine interest in those around them, and instead of talking about themselves, they ask others lots of questions about their interests, their goals, their life, their And they listen to what they say, and then they ask more questions. By being genuinely interested in others, they automatically magnetize them.
- When it comes to getting things done: They also ask a lot of questions about how things are done, why they are done that way, and ask if it can be done better. If they don’t understand something they ask clarifying questions to ensure they get a full understanding. And instead of saying why something cannot be done, in situations where they are challenged, they ask “How can this be done?”
Start asking a lot more questions, become curious about everyone and everything, be a perpetual student, and eager to learn all you can in both your relationships and your objectives – and watch your income increase!
R = Risk
If you aren’t willing to take a risk, then the hard truth is that you probably need to go back to a job! Nothing is guaranteed in life, and as a business owner – if you want to attract large opportunities, then that usually involves a certain amount of risk.
These risks are both financial AND emotional. From investing money to grow themselves and their business, to putting themselves out there – they risk losing their capital, having a temporary reduction in disposable income, they risk their reputation, they risk their self-esteem (how many times do we hear “NO” as an entrepreneur?) and some even risk losing approval from those who just don’t support them on their entrepreneurial journey.
I’m not speaking about being a total maverick and gambling your home or life savings or all your relationships. However, Money Magnets – know what risk is, and they will carefully weigh the outcomes and potential loss versus the potential gains, and will take calculated risks, fully prepared to lose at times, knowing that if they do, it’s only a step along their path. Because ultimately what they know they can depend on, is themselves

S = Strategy
In the last article, we spoke about mindfulness. Being purposeful is such an important part of manifesting your desired outcomes. However Strategy, while connected to mindfulness, is about the big picture, and Money Magnets are clear on their business strategy so that they can be mindful in their daily habits and decisions.
Whether they are speaking, posting on social media, attending networking events, sending marketing emails, making sales calls, investing in their business, deciding where to spend their time – etc – it’s all a part of an overall cohesive strategy that ties together. And then for each of the individual activities, they also have a strategy behind it.
Many of my mentors like to say “Hope is not a strategy” – and I agree. Yet often times entrepreneurs just start a business and hope it will work and try everything to see what sticks, and end up broke and frustrated.
So while it may seem the money just naturally gravitates to some without any effort, what seems easy on the outside is the result of a comprehensive strategy operating behind the scenes.
In Summary
The cool thing about this journey through the A to Z’s of becoming a Money Magnet, is that all of these qualities, habits and attributes are available to you – you just need to make a decision to BE that person, and by doing so, you will have laid the foundation to really focus on the next steps – the WHAT, and the HOW of implementing and executing your business growth.
