Have you ever met that person? You know, the one who when they walk into a room seem to attract all the attention, all the interest, all the clients?
You probably noticed that this person has an energy, and aura, a “je ne sais quoi” to them. It’s often been said that the person with the highest energy “wins”. Have you ever wondered how they do it? How they create this buzz, this magnetic force?
Often we think in terms of going out and finding success, yet I truly believe, that instead of finding success, it’s really more about turning ourselves into that person that success can find so that we can allow it in
So how does success find you?
For success in business to find you, it’s crucial that you become that person with that magnetic force, because money comes from opportunities, and opportunities comes through and from people. Whether it’s a potential client, a potential referral partner, or a potential business partner or a joint venture partner, opportunities come through people.
Today’s article, and the following few are all about becoming that person. I thought it would be fun to explore what it takes from A to Z to become an opportunity, and hence by default, a Money Magnet. Today we are going to focus on A to C. Ready?
A = Alignment
Aligning who you are with what you do and why you do it is such an important piece about attracting money to you and being that kind of person that attracts opportunities. Because when someone’s fully aligned, it shows up. They’re confident, they know who they are, they know why they do what they do. They have integrity, they are living what they’re saying. They are embodying the work they do, and they’re embodying their message.
Now I’m not saying you have to have everything figured out. We’re human after all, we are these wonderful, messy creatures that don’t necessarily have life all figured out. But, at least if we know what we’re doing, why we’re doing it and we live in harmony with our message, even if it isn’t perfect, then we are in alignment.
If things aren’t perfect:
For example, I’m all about having a business that allows you to have the time, money, freedom and wealth to choose every day by design, to choose your clients, to choose how you spend your time. If I wasn’t doing that for myself I would be out of alignment. Now, is every day perfect? Of course not! I’m human just like you, stuff happens. However to me being in alignment means I’m always checking in, make adjustments right away, so that I am always “on purpose” and if I notice I’m going off course I adjust!
So give yourself some grace and space if things aren’t perfect, for example – if you are a sales coach and didn’t close a dream client, or a money coach that hit a tight spot and needs to juggle. Life happens to all of us, perfection isn’t what any of us should be striving for, quite frankly it’s a form of self-abuse.
Beware!
However where you don’t want to be is completely out of alignment. Taking the same examples above, a sales coach that hates selling, or a money coach that wilfully doesn’t honor agreements and opts out of paying their obligations, a photographer that doesn’t respect intellectual property rights, etc. In that case, they would be completely out of alignment, and even if their clients or potential clients don’t know these things, something will seem “off” to them and it will affect their magnetism, opportunities, and income.
Don’t underestimate Alignment
Alignment is a really big thing, as it is what will give you so much confidence, you will feel it in your bones, you will feel it in your blood. And when you are radiating that much confidence, your energy comes up and you create that magnetic force, and that vibe and that frequency that attracts opportunity to you.
B= Boldness
The second thing, or quality, to develop when it comes to attracting opportunities and income is Boldness. You want to be really bold about what it is that you want to do. I’m not saying be rude or impolite or disrespect other people. Be bold about what it is you want for your life and what it is you represent.
If you have a big income goal, own it. Don’t be ashamed of it. Don’t be worried that somebody might think you’re greedy, because they won’t. The fact is we’re designed to want more out of life. We’re designed to always be growing and to be improving. So, be bold. Be bold about what you want to accomplish.
Be bold about the lives you want to affect. Be bold about the income goals that you have. And when you have that boldness, you’ll have that confidence to really show up and again raise your energy to be that type of person that other people want to be around and that opportunities seek out.
C= Commitment
The third quality of becoming a Money Magnet is Commitment. You need to be committed. And you need to be somebody who keeps your commitments.
Obviously, this applies in a very literal sense, if you’re in a contract and agreement, you want to keep that commitment so you don’t get a reputation in the business world of someone who doesn’t honor their agreements, as that could put you right out of business.
That should be a “given” so that’s not what I’m focusing on today. Rather today I’m speaking on a much more energetic level. Specifically – are you the kind of person who keeps commitments to yourself?
The most important person you need to keep your commitments to, is to yourself. Yet ironically that seems to be the easiest commitment to break. And if you break commitments to yourself, if affects your self-confidence, it affects your energy, and it affect how you show up in the world, as well as your ability to keep commitments to others.
Think about it, have you ever set a New Years Resolution only to not follow through with it and then feel really bad about yourself? When we don’t keep commitments to ourselves, we send a message to our subconscious that we aren’t worthy of success, or opportunity because we aren’t “good enough”.
If you make a commitment to yourself, whether it’s to eat healthy, to get up earlier, to make those sales calls, to create a new product, to meet a deadline, honor that commitment. Because that also raises your confidence, raises your energy and makes you a lot more vibrant and a lot more attractive to people and opportunities around you.
If you can keep the commitments you make to yourself, the most difficult commitments to honor, you will easily keep commitments others. This feeling, this confidence, this knowing will project from you and attract others to you easily and over and over again.
A, B & C
So, those are the three for today. Alignment, Boldness, and Commitment. Those are three qualities that if you develop you start to become a person that’s very attractive to other people. And when you’re attractive to other people that’s where opportunities will come from. So those are the first three on becoming a money magnet.
