And here we are at the conclusion of the Money Magnet Series!
We have learned over the past few months, the characteristics, attributes, and behaviours that a person needs to master in order to attract, people, opportunities, and money to them.
If there is one thing I know for sure, I wasn’t able to change my financial situation until I started paying more attention to who I was being, than what I was doing, and I’ve noticed it’s really the same for my clients, colleagues, friends, etc.
W = Wealth Conscious
I could (and I probably will) write a whole article just on this topic alone.
Money Magnets develop their wealth consciousness purposefully and daily
A little bit of a rant here, this term seems to be so overused these days and in my opinion, it’s used irresponsibly by unscrupulous individuals who are trying to manipulate others into parting with their money, or worse creating unnecessary and sometimes crippling debt in the process. And it’s done under the guise that they need to do it otherwise they are acting in scarcity and won’t make money.
I call complete and total BS on that! Yes, that’s quite off-brand for me to use that expression, but it’s something I feel very strongly about.
A full discussion on this is beyond the scope of this article, so for today, I am going to focus on developing your own wealth consciousness.
If you do a quick google search of the definition of the word “conscious” you will discover that it’s Latin route means “knowing” or “aware”.
Let’s play a bit, and trade the word conscious and we can come up with a few slightly different expressions
- Wealth Aware
- Wealth Knowing
- Knowing How To Create Wealth
As you can see, Wealth Consciousness isn’t so much about spending, or creating debt, as it is about having the knowledge and awareness to create and build wealth. Yes, that certainly comes with some risks, taking leaps of (calculated) faith and often investing beyond what’s comfortable (not to what’s dangerous) in order for you to grow to where you need to be.
Building your wealth will almost always take you out of your comfort zone, and that is why it always starts with your mindset and what you believe. Working on your “money stuff” and developing your Wealth Consciousness means that you are consistently developing the mindset, behaviours, and actions you need in order to grow your wealth.
X = I tried, I really did!
Do any words actually start with X? Words that we use in regular language I mean? I just couldn’t come up with anything. Even a Google search didn’t help.
Y = They Say Yes!
One of my favorite quotes – I believe it’s from Richard Branson is “If somebody offers you an amazing opportunity but you are not sure you can do it, say yes – then learn how to do it later!”
Say YES to opportunity. Don’t let your own fears, doubts or perceived limitations keep you from stepping forward. I know from personal experience the best and most profitable opportunities in my life, showed up when I was sure I wasn’t ready to take them.
I’m hoping by now in the series you have seen that money shows up through people and opportunities, and Money Magnets are by default People and Opportunity Magnets first. They know that the opportunity is the magnet that will bring the money into them, and therefore they will say “YES” even if they aren’t ready, and then take massive action.
What could you say “YES” to right now that you don’t feel quite ready for, but that you know will open up opportunity to you?
Z = Zero Tolerance
One of the exercises I like to do with my clients is called “What’s the cost of what you are tolerating?” It could be a lack of clients, a computer that doesn’t work, a team member or vendor who isn’t doing their job, a client who pushes boundaries, relationships that holds them back, really anything that is showing up in their business and life that they are allowing to prevent them from achieving their results.
I aim to work with them on creating a ZERO Tolerance Policy for themselves and their business. And each month to have a look at what they are tolerating and to add up the cost of that tolerating, so that they can decide to stop tolerating it, and to figure out the action they need to take.
It’s pretty rare that I’ve ever seen someone who naturally attracts people, opportunity and money to them, that allow these distractions, to put them off course. If something is broken, they fix it; if a team member isn’t performing, they let them go; if a relationship is holding them back, they create space. They have ZERO Tolerance.
I love that I can end the series on this topic because it’s one of the most actionable items that you can implement immediately in your business and see results.
So what is it that you are tolerating? What is that costing you? How can you eliminate it?
In Conclusion
Well, that brings us to the end of this series, and I truly hope I’ve given you lots to think about, and some insights, aha’s and inspiration.
I would love to hear from you – which of these attributes from A to Z created the greatest shift for you?
