Have you ever been in a conversation with an acquaintance or someone you just met and you get the feeling they are likely an ideal client for you and you just have no idea how to transition this conversation from small talk to how you can help them? Do you worry if you do that you’ll come across as “salesy” or “sleezy”?
So instead of making an offer you just “hem and haw” around the topic and keep the conversation casual, or worse social. And then the conversation ends and you never know if that person could have been your next perfect client.
Frustrating isn’t it?
I used to do that all the time, that’s probably why in my first year of business, I hit 6 figures in reverse….and I totally get it.
But here’s the thing, it can be REALLY easy to keep the conversation professional and to transition into a sales conversation seamlessly and elegantly. Although it’s not effortless – because it does take intentional thought and once you master it, it can feel that way too.
By 100% owning your value and being able to recognize when you can help someone and then offering them the opportunity to achieve what they want by working with you. By being excited about the possibility for the person, and focusing on them. By focusing on service; not on getting.
And when you’re in that initial casual or small talk conversation, that energy will make it easy, graceful and exciting to steer the conversation to what the prospect really wants, and for you to make an invitation for them to take it further with you and/or get on your calendar.
In today’s episode I teach you exactly what you need to do, and before I conclude I also share the HUGE mistake that will kill your offer every time, as well as tell you how to access some word-for-word scripts that you can use to help you – so make sure to watch the whole thing.
